My laptop fell down and it broke the LCD screen. I felt so sad. My shiny new T43 was looking so bad.
It made some interesting patterns on screen, when I turned it on. Thankfully, the hard disk was ok, so I got another T43 and swapped the disks. The old one is sent to IBM to get the screen replaced and to fix the keyboard tray (yeah, the tray got a bit of misplaced).
The standby is working alright, but I still miss the old one. I hope to see my laptop back soon.

Eeek! Dropping things bad luck - I dropped by external hard disc with all my music files on it this weekend.
So that happens to ThinkPads also. What would it cost to get it repaired?
(I stepped on a friend's Asus laptop and broke the LCD screen... long story. Looks like the damn thing would cost a mini A-bomb.)
I think they have asked for 35k. So glad that it's a company laptop.
aren't they insured? I guess a company lapu would be ...
But it always hurts to drop a laptop. Hope you'll get it back soon in original shape
this reminds me thinkpad ad on radiocity......"strange but true stories......" :)
